When I first encountered this recipe which was handed down to me from a coworker I was rather hesitant. My husband Eddie is a bit picky and it is always tricky adding something new to the dinner menu. In complete honesty Salisbury Steak reminds me a cafeteria food or something that you would see served at an retirement home; but when I looked at the simplicity of the ingredients and how easy it was to put this meal together it was 100% worth a try.
A great thing about this recipe is that you can really make it your own. By adding seasoning to taste and what you know you and your family like. I omit the bread crumbs and have used crackers or lately I have not been adding any at all and it still comes out great. The first time that I made this is didn't have mustard powder on hand so I just used regular mustard and that also worked. Another great add is fresh mushrooms, sometime I have them around so I add them to the sauce when its cooking. That is why I love this recipe because you can change things and it won't ruin the dish but add some extra character. If also found that the Sauce will also double as a gravy for a side of mashed potatoes.
Again I must give the disclaimer that this recipe is a must try before you judge! It meets my top 3 criteria for meals during the busy work week = #1 no fuss ingredients, #2 not time consuming prep, #3 and you can make it in less than 30minutes (probably 45 minutes total with all the prep).
Ingredients
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs -- I don't use bread crumbs and it turns out fine
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder -- I use just regular mustard
Directions
In a large bowl, mix together 1/3 cup condensed French onion soup with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and black pepper. Shape into 6 oval patties.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown both sides of patties. Pour off excess fat.
In a small bowl, blend flour and remaining soup until smooth. Mix in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder. Pour over meat in skillet. Cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
After thinking about it for a while it was time to say goodbye to the name 'California Living' and find a new name for my blog. It comes with much nostalgia to let the name go. The reason I decided to change the name is simply because I wanted something that was more reflective of myself and what I like to blog about. It was hard like naming a child..well maybe not a serious as naming my son but it took me a while to decide on the final name change. I didn't want to be generic but I also didn't want to be too complicated. And anyone who knows me knows that I like to go back and forth and then back and forth on decision making. This is all to say that I finally nailed it down and changed the name of my blog! To "Me, The Mrs. & Mommy".
My goal for the remainder of this year is to blog much more. Lately most of my blog post have been about my little bundle of boy Isaac who I could write about until my fingers fall off. However I want to also blog about other aspects of my life. Which of course include myself and being Mrs. Tostado! So this new name pretty much covers it all.
A confession that I must also make is that some of the inspiration of chagning the name came from my new obsession with Pintrest. I love, love, love to pin and repin and I noticed that many of my pins are coming from these fabulous bloggers sharing their ideas. So I thought why not join the sensation and get my own blog up to speed. Whats to come or what will be different with this blog you may ask!? I will be included more posts about my DIY crafting experiences, food I'm making, some parenting or mommy tips, trials and errors that I find along the way and pretty much what Team Tostado is up to! Hope you stay tuned for what's to come.
No it can be so...but it is the day has come and past. Our little Isaac is already 6 months old! What an amazing 6 months this has been. God had shown our family so much through this little bundle of boy and I really just can't imagine our lives with without Isaac in it. Daily I am reminded of what a blessing, job, challenge, and adventure it is to be a parent. With the anticipation of actually getting to celebrate Isaac's Half Birthday due to a leap year I found this milestone very exciting. It was a big month for Team Tostado that is for sure. Isaac is growing into his 9 months clothes and tipping the scales at 15lbs 14oz! And to Daddy's delight he is a growing nice and tall at 26.5" ...watch out NBA Team Tostado is growing a future all star for ya!!

I Got Jokes
Isaac is living up to the meaning of his name which is laughter. He is my silly little boy with a smile that will melt your heart. His personality is shining through more and more, and I see that he is such a happy boy. It is so funny to see him get going, it is like he knows that what he is doing is funny or silly. His laughter is beyond contagious and I really can't get enough of it. He never wants to miss a beat and is super social and I am loving seeing that develop in him. His favorite things that make him laugh are how silly Mommy and Daddy can be, peek-a-boo with his bibs or blankets, and of course he is very ticklish. He also likes to imitate tickling and will lunge forward and place his head on you and rub his face into your body to try and make you laugh. He is without a doubt in his own way telling us, "I got jokes".
Team Tostado takes the Zoo!
To celebrate Isaac turning 6 months we wanted to do something special so we planned out first big family outing to the Oakland Zoo. It was a great day in many ways, not only did I get to spend time with my two favorites I got to see the Zoo in a new way. Having a family has shown me a different way to look at life and all that we have. Isaac LOVED the zoo, he is my little nature boy! It was fun to see him try to figure out what exactly he was looking at. His favorite animals were the meerkats, zebras, elephants, and the bronzed turtle.
Dada = Daddy!!
I tried and tried to deny it but I can't anymore as of this last Sunday Isaac now calls Eddie DaDa. It is bittersweet that is for sure but I was prepared that he would say it first before Momma. It was about month ago that he just say Dada Dada Dada over and over. I knew that he really had yet to connect the two and was always quick to make sure Eddie knew it too. How it happened I was talking to Isaac in the morning on the bed pointing at myself saying Momma and then pointing at him and saying baby. Then clear as day he turns and looks at Eddie and say, "Dada" I was shocked at first, and told Eddie to wake up! Isaac had just called him Dada and I couldn't take that away from him. So I asked Isaac, "who is that!?" and again he said "Dada"...still not wanting to believe it deep down and wanting it to be a fluke Isaac proved me wrong and said it in the proper context 5 more time that day. He is still working on it and is not a show pony that we can get to preform on cue (believe me we tried to get it on camera) but he said it again today when Eddie got home. Isaac is a little chatter box already with his baby talk and being the little social butterfly that he is it doesn't surprise me that he is try and wanting to talk.
I like my carseat...most of the time
It never ceases to amaze me or even shock me that once we think we have our kiddo pegged he show us that we could not be more wrong. It seems like I was just blogging about how Isaac despises the carseat; well that is not the case anymore. He is actually quite the little passenger these days. I honestly don't know what changed because I sure know that it is nothing that I did. Whatever it may be I'll take it gladly with a smile. I never realized how stressful it was to drive around cringing and hoping that in the 15 minute car ride there would not be a meltdown. It is really refreshing to drive with him and sing along to the radio or hear his little giggles and baby babbling from the back seat. Now...don't think that this is an all the time occurrence. I would love to say it is so, but it is just not the case. We still have the meltdowns at least once or twice a week, but this is a vast improvement considers the past months. It actually gives me hope the future road trips in our near future.Going through this hating the carseat phase thought me lots about myself. I always considered myself to be the type of person that could handle a crying baby calmly being able to sooth the situation and that was not the case here. I was frantic, crazed, emotionally drained, and even feeling like a failure each time we would get in the car..wondering, hoping, PRAYING that we could just make it home without a meltdown! Coming thought this low helped me compile as checklist or possible 'help me' list for other parents going though a similar experience I'll share that in a future blog.
Adventures in Eating
Well...like the carseat Isaac has decided that he will drink out of the bottle. This is truly a huge answer to prayer. With my return to work this is what made it the most difficult. Had I been with Isaac all the time this would of course impeded me from have more than a few hours away but having to work 6hours at a time and Isaac not having the same schedule everyday made him not taking a bottle very stressful on both of us. Very much like any struggle with an infant I must say this one by far takes the ultimate cake. Any parent who has to be away from their child and they do not take a bottle knows this pain. I use the word pain because that is truly what it is. It is a feeling in your stomach or chest that hurts knowing that your child is not with you and cannot eat when they want to. In my last blog I showed the line up or arsenal of bottles that we went through in trying to get him to take the bottle and in the end he went back to the nipple that we originally started him out with which was the Dr. Browns.
Something new that we have been doing is starting solids regularly. We had tried to do solids around 4 months and he was really not ready at all so I didn't push it. Then when I went back to work around 5 months it was mostly a necessity due to his refusal of the bottle. But now...it is just so crazy because my little man really needs more food other that Momma's jugs (as we call them on Team Tostado). He is eating more oatmeal cereal, bananas, and carrots. This next week we will be introducing his 3rd food which will be squash. It is an exciting new venture for us all!!
Yummy Oatmeal
I like this food stuff
Sleep..dare I say it?
I would be very foolish to think that my 6 month old will hold to the sleep pattern that he has developed for the rest of his young days but I again will take this sleeping through the night with a thankful heart! It started around the 5 1/2 month mark that he would sleep an average of 9-11 hours. It sounds odd but at first it actually made me a little more tired because of getting more sleep. Isaac has always been my little random boy without much of schedule to depend on other than bed time which is typically around 7:30ish. He is still not napping for more than 1 hour to an hour and a half twice a day but to quote the our pediatrician, "If you wanted to choose when he sleeps it should be the night, count yourselves lucky that he is choosing the night!". I really don't say this to make anyone who's child is waking several times during the night feel less than or that they are doing something wrong. This is just another lesson to me that every child is and will always be different. Of course there are some sleep training books that have been proved to work but we are still trucking along with our own parent led/baby led way of life.
My precious little boy is 5 months old now. It is truly amazing how much a child develops in the short amount of time. I am finding it very important and useful to continue blogging about Issac monthly because I know that although I may think that I'll be able to remember all what is going on during this season of his life, the reality is that in a year from now that probably will not be the case. Team Tostado has been busy busy bees in this New Year that is for sure!
Cousins :) @ Fiona's 1st Birthday
Sleep deprivation...ain't no thang!
Oh, how the sleep deprivation is the new norm. I think my body is finally getting fine tuned to Isaac's random sleeping schedules. Adapting at first what much more difficult (as is most parenting tasks) than I ever thought it would be. I think that there is just no prep work that could really ever be done for this. Looking back on my pregnancy thoughts of "He'll be sleeping though the night at 4months" makes be giggle. It doesn't bother me that he is not sleeping though the night at all the time. I won't lie and say that it is not tiring or even that you don't have to conger all your strength to move your body out of bed at time, but there is no use in fighting it and thinking that it is because I am doing something wrong.
This truly is a special time with him that I want to remember. It is so very precious putting him to bed, we have developed a pretty regular bedtime routine.Change into PJ's, bedtime story with Daddy, feeding, then sing 'somewhere over the rainbow' while rocking him to sleep. He loved music in the womb so why would I think that it would be any different now. Hearing him sing with me just melts my heart into a millions pieces, his little "oohhh, eeehhh, aaawwww, ooohhh's" bring an everlasting smile to my face.
Get that Motor Running!
Issac's motor skills have come leaps and bounds in the past weeks. He is working on lots of new things like: sitting by himself, baby push ups and pulling up on his knees, perfecting rolling over, turning pages of books, and dropping and then picking up toys. Isaac is my little adventure boy already, he wants to get into everything...if this is a glimpse of what is too come we better get ready to be running all over the place. His grip is amazingly strong it seriously blows me away at how such little fingers can hold on so tight. I can also tell a huge difference in the advancement of his vision. When he saw grass the other day he started lunging towards it, had it been a nicer day outside I would have let me get a feel for it. I know that this is a snap shot of his moving and groovin' skills and I am loving every minute of it! Seeing your child discover the world is such a blessing. Check out Isaac's video of him singing with the hairbrush, this totally brought back childhood memories of when a hairbrush would magically transform a moment. He just loves to hold it up and sing!
The Battle of the Bottle
In being completely honest I had absolutely NO idea that babies could refuse a bottle. When making the decision to nurse I knew the potential problems that I would face and it did not even cross my mind that at 5 months we would be battling with our little man to take a bottle for feedings. Isaac's strong preference of wanting to go 'all natural' has really made being away from him and going back to work a challenge. Let me stop you right there...if you are thinking, "well why didn't you give him a bottle from the start? Then this would not be a problem". Answer: Because nursing did not work out right away we had to give him a bottle, in fact he took a bottle up until 8 weeks when he decided that he didn't want it anymore.
I feel like I am running out of options, I have researched the web for hours reading bottle manufacture websites, personal blogs, baby websites, and pretty much you name it I've read it. We have tried all the tricks that we have read or have been suggested to us and by all I mean all. The only thing that we have not tried is complete starvation. Even if we did I am not sure how long the stand off would last. Once while I was at work Isaac held out for 6 hours! It was if once he got past the fussiness he had decided that he would just wait for me and that would be it. He definitely proved to us that he was not going to deviate from his preference. For the longest time I held out on trying different bottle types. From what I learned it really has not too much to do with the shape of the nipple. So, I gave in to what others were suggesting and the we tried different bottles. That was a complete bust! It didn't matter what bottle or nipple it was that Isaac was not and is not having it. He was barely 4 months when I tried as another resort a sippy cup. At first it was something new and exciting for him and he didn't get crazy he was actually accepting it. Yay! for what seemed to be some progress. Well, that progress was very much short lived and 3 bottles and 2 sippy cups later we have come full circle back to square one.
hhmmm...I guess this will work
Playtex, Medela, Dr. Brown's & Tomee Tippee = NO
In many ways I love that he prefers to nurse over anything. It is really a special bond that we share, it just makes it very difficult with my return to work. I have tried and tried not to be stressed over it but how can you not be when you are away from your baby and not sure if they are going to be getting enough to eat while you are away. For now what seems to work so that I can be gone for up to 4 hours is oatmeal cereal 1 tbsp, 1 tbsp of bananas, and 2 oz of milk mixed together. This will 'hold' him until I can get back to him but he still missing a feeding of milk. I know that this is only a season for now, and in the coming months we will begin to start solids more regularly and we just keep hoping that he will one day decide that he is OK with either the bottle or the sippy cup. Thatis how is was when he began to nurse it was like one day after trying and trying he said OK lets do this. Until then we will just have to keep on trying.
Coming Soon...
In a few short weeks we will be celebrating Isaac's 6 month bday! We are looking forward to his first trip to the zoo, the 6 months check up, and his adventure in starting solids.
While listening to KLOVE this morning on my way to work I heard a story about parents starting a bucket list for their children. This immediately caught my attention and I began to intently listen to what the story was about. Although this idea is not 100% original or even ground breaking; it does have the ability to completely change our families lives. For those who do not know or have never heard of a 'bucket list' it is a list of things that one would aspire to accomplish before their departure from this life. Well a parenting bucket list is taking it one step further in that this is not just about you but also about your children. The list would include things that you want to accomplish as a parent with and for your children. It is so easy to get caught up in the "time flies" mantra or the "cherish every moment" saying and take a million and one photos or videos. But what better way to intentionally invest your time into your children and have the pictures and videos along with it.
My Parenting Bucket List for Isaac

Road trip traveling all of Hwy 1 in California
Have a picnic under a redwood tree
Serve our community together - soup kitchen, tree planting, Operation Christmas Child
Go to Hawaii and visit Paul's Place
Have Mommy/Son Dates
Take him on Ferry in the SF Bay
Spend an afternoon at a museum of his choice

Put our feet in both the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean together
Go site seeing in Washington D.C.
Swim with dolphins
Go to Disneyland for his birthday
Ride a train
See the Parade of Roses
Go to the CA state fair
Watch fireworks from a battleship
My list is in no particular order and seeing that he is only 5 months old I know that much of this will wait until he is at an age where he can appreciate what we are doing. Yet, I still feel it is never to early and never to late to start a parenting bucket list. I also think that it is important to have a list for each child that is a work in progress. Meaning as a child grows and their interest develop and change its OK to change the list and we should be adding to it as well. The entire point of this is to accomplish quality time invested in our children's lives. After having Isaac I often found myself with wishful thinking that he came with an instructions manual, but no child does. Much of parenting is trial and error and no parent is a perfect parent. However, that doesn't mean that we should not be taking the time to make every effort to have life lasting memories and experiences with our children throughout their lives. I know that I have much more that I want to add to this list and it truly is a works in progress.
Another thing that I would like to add is that I will be encouraging my husband to develop his own list for Isaac. Parenting is a team effort and there are many things that we will accomplish as a whole family, but I do think that it is very important that he also define his very own parenting bucket list. I encourage any parent out there to make this your own! There is no rules or regulations just have fun with it :)
Isaac is 4 months old! In this past month it has been very busy and filled with lots of holiday fun. Team Tostado is learning so much of what it is to be a family of 3. I am loving this stage of life because it seems like changes are weekly or even daily at time. Isaac had his 4 month check up and our big boy is weighing in at 14lbs 4oz, and he is now 24 3/4" tall. He has come a long ways since birth :) It is amazing to look at his growth over these past months and imagine him growing from the size of a bean in my tummy to a healthy and happy 14lbs baby. According to his pediatrician he is right on schedule with all the milestones and making excellent progress towards the up and coming ones. He sure is a wiggly worm and loving to use his voice.
Christmas in one word a BLAST!
We are so very blessed to have so much family leaving here in Fremont with us. We got to have multiple celebrations with both sides of the family, and Isaac again proved that he is a party animal. He just loves to be around people and be in the mix of what is going on. I see the way that he looks at his older cousins and if he had a little caption bubble above his head I'm sure it would say, "Hey wait for me...I want to play!!" Celebrating our first Christmas as a family was amazing in many ways. We started a few new traditions with Isaac even though he will not remember next year what they where Eddie and I both just wanted to start them this year. Isaac also impressed us with his skills of unwrapping presents. Most kids his age (and even older) have little to no interest in opening a gift, but Isaac sure does. He will rip and grab at it! Of course being a little one it is limited in how much he can open and do but we sure were impressed. Another thing that he impressed us with was his ability to take a liking to unwrapped gifts. Because he is so little we made no effort to hid his gifts. I just left them in the bags in the front room. Well, to our surprise he kept lunging and reaching for his 49ers pillow pet! So much so that we gave it to him early. He just loves his pillow pet!!This years we also started another extended family tradition, Snow on the Farm. There was so much to do there for any and all ages. It was a great day to get out of the house and hang with the fam. We all had so much fun that we decided for sure this will be a continued tradition that we do each year.
Isaac getting into his stocking
The party animal needed a nap
Not my little traveler he is a little wiggly worm
Isaac has come a long way in the past few weeks, but lets just say that traveling in the car seat is not one of his favorite or even likeable things to do.We have dubbed the car seat his baby jail. This makes trips in the car really interesting, I often see people looking at me at a stop light and they must be thinking "what in the world is that lady doing!??" Because I have come up with various ways to entertain him and try my very best to stop him from crying. We are keeping the hope alive that he will get better with age as that already seems to be the case.
wiggly boy
I think that the car seat holds him back from what he really wants to do. He loves to be a wiggly worm on the go. He loves to use his body in the ways that he knows how and his newest thing is that he wants to grab everything and put it in his mouth. I know that I am in for it when he is mobile he will be keeping us on our toes at all times. It is so awesome to see his desire to move around and go. He just fully discovered his feet around the 4 month mark. Watching him wiggle and move to grab his feet can keep us entertained for sure. Also as if I didn't have a hard enough time keeping this boys socks on before...now that he can grab them he like to pull them off and then put them in his mouth. So, we mostly like him to stay in his footed pjs and pants. He likes to just hang out on the play mat and wiggle his way around in a slow circle. In the past few days we can tell he is working on getting ready to roll over. If course I am not pushing him I know it will happen when it does so I am keeping the camera at my finger tips these days.
Got my toes!!
Scheduling
I didn't go all out to buy a bunch of books or anything but we have tried to nail down a schedule for Isaac in these past months that I was home. All I can say is...we know who runs our household and its not Mommy and Daddy. In doing some research online I felt that a "Parent led / Baby led" or "Combination Schedule" would work the best for us. At times it sure seems to be more Isaac led than anything, however I don't feel that I am just some slave to my child or that I give in at every whim. I more feel that he is too young to express himself more that in a way that a baby would. So there is no need to punish him for what he cannot understand.
I need sleep
I can attest that once you have your first baby the "this is what I would do" attitude before you had a child goes right out the window. You really start to understand what they mean by "Every baby is different". Although I can see similarities in stories that I have heard from family and friends about their children or what worked and didn't work; we are still really trying to develop what will work for us. Isaac is not sleeping through the night consistently, which is more physically draining that I could have ever imagined. His napping is almost nonexistent (he takes three 20-45min naps a day) and he is proving himself to be our little turbo baby. I don't want to make it sound like he never sleeps because he does. He usually goes down around 7:30pm and then is ready to get out of bed and play around 8 or 9am. He is somewhat predictable just not always the same everyday yet. Another thing that we are hoping will work itself out in the months to come.
Breakthroughs and Break Downs with Breastfeeding
Direct quote from a stranger -"Those are some nursing cheeks"
Finally after several weeks of feeling like we would never get there Isaac is exclusively been nursing since 6weeks. I must admit like most who nurse there little ones that it is much easier than a bottle in many ways. It comes in handy during those midnight feedings when the thought of getting out of bed just seems impossible, there is no wasted ounces left over, and if he get hungry I can just feed him with out any fuss. I also must admit that it gives me joy that one item from my original plan did work! But, nursing him did not come easy. Some women have told me there stories of how easy it was, and I have heard the horror stories from some as well. I would place myself in the middle of the road. It sure wasn't the easiest thing to get him to nurse but it was by no mean so traumatizing that I wouldn't go through it all over again. There are the breakdown moments with breastfeeding too! It isn't all easy go all the time. We have been battling Thrush for the last month and a half (NOT FUN), he is refusing a bottle which makes it darn near impossible for me to be away from him for more than 4 hours, and feeding outside the home are not as easy as a bottle eventhough I am slowly but surely getting use to feeding him in public with my nursing cover. I could go on and on about this topic and do plan to dedicate an entire blog to this topic in the near
future.
Back to work
I working again or I should actually say I'm back to work outside the home. January 2nd I returned to work with completely mixed emotions.I'm not full time, but it is the most time that I have ever been away from my little man. At first I thought there was something wrong with me because everyone said, "oh you'll cry and break down at work" and well...I didn't.. I did cry the first day on my way to drop him off but since then I haven't. This leaves me a bit shocked because usually I am the one always crying. I know that because I didn't cry it doesn't make me a 'bad mom' and that it doesn't make me miss Isaac any less its just another lesson learned in the adjustment of parenthood. Maybe it would be a different story if had returned full time. The goal is to get back to full time work but that will be a slow process. When we thought it was all figured out for who would watch Isaac my Mom was rushed to the ER and had an emergency surgery to have a pacemaker installed. Praise the Lord she is at home healing and getting better and stronger with each passing day. In many ways this is a blessing in disguise. We have been hounding my Mom to go get checked out for some dizzy spells she had been having and although I am happy to be back working I have missed Isaac and being a Mommy at home. We have yet to get it all figured out on what to do but we are also blessed with wonderful friends and family that will help out when they can and our jobs are very understanding and working with us the best they can.
What a way to start out a new year! I am excited for all that is to come and what the Lord has planed for us. This has really been a time of trust and patience and I hold fast to God's word. Things that we are looking forward to in the coming month are: More moving and grooving from the Isaac, starting solids and Isaac learning to take the bottle, going to see Daddy coach bball for MSJ, and cousin Fiona turning 1.
Monday of this week marked Isaac's 3 months of life. To say that this is an adventure would be the understatement of the year! The beginning of this journey after his birth was rocky and postpartum was more than I had ever thought it would be. However now at the 3 months mark I feel like I have earned some patches for my 'Mommyhood Belt'. I don't think that there will ever be a point that I have it all figured out, and I have also come to realize that there will never be an 'easy' stage of his life. There is something that I am always learning and Isaac and I are still figuring out how to best work for 'Team Tostado' as I like to put it. My advice would not be to lower your expectations of motherhood but to make it a combination of being open to change and a willingness to be molded. This time last year Isaac was being knit into my tummy and I was yet to know that I was pregnant. Yet, should you asked me what kind of parent I want to be and how I would be letting my baby sleep it would be completely different from the reality of what it is today.
The shirt says it all...he's sooo handsome
Team Tostado is building a family! It is an amazing feeling to know that this is the start of our family. This is something that I have dreamed about and prayed for many years. It is crazy to see Isaac's little face and know that he came from both Eddie and I.Having your our child truly changes you, and you have to be a parent to really understand. I thought that I knew how much I would love and care for my child but it was a million times underestimated. In complete honesty the love that I feel has grown with each day from knowing that I was pregnant, to seeing him and hearing for the first time, to the first time I held him.
Catchin' flys...love those lips
Celebrating our first big holiday Thanksgiving was perfect. Isaac loves being around family and will prove himself to be quite the party animal in years to come. Often it seems as if he does not want to miss a beat. When he was in my tummy he had a personality but I love getting to know him more as a little person and seeing that personality grow and grow. Isaac is also such a happy baby. Every morning he wakes up with a smile on his face. To know and see that joy it is just contagious, you can't help but be all smiles when you see that face. Of course every parent thinks that their child is a genius or advanced and I must say that Eddie and I are also in that boat. Isaac is already holding his head up in a sitting position by himself for minutes at a time. He can also bear his weight on his legs, jumping on our laps is great fun for him. And he is also looking as if he is ready to start solids by the time that he is 4 months...it is so funny that when reading all these accomplishments. Some people..ok well I'm sure most are not nearly as impressed as Team Tostado is with them but this is the joy of being a parent. Always all smiles after the bath
3 months is truly marking a great milestone in all of our lives. We have made it to through 1/4th of Isaac's first year. Like my pregnancy posts I would like to finish off these post in the same way in listing what we are looking forward to. Although I cannot commit to writing what will happen week by week, I would like to say that I will TRY to do a month by month but...we shall see!
What we are looking forward to: Decorating the house for Christmas, Family and Friends Christmas parties, Isaac's first Christmas, meeting Isaac's buddy Bella and spending time with her Momma, and Isaac's 4 month check up.
